Speaking at WordCamp Netherlands 2022

In the WordPress world, we have WordCamps. It is an event that will have 150 to 3,000 people depending on the event. WordCamp US can have up to 3,000 and smaller events, like WordCamp Atlanta (that I always attend) can have up to 650 people. The WordCamp Nederlands (WCNL) 2022 sold 483 tickets, which is a great number especially coming out of Covid.

I always wanted to visit the Netherlands, so when I saw they were doing WCNL, it only made sense to apply to speak. It took about 6 weeks to get the acceptance email, but it finally came. I submitted three talks, and the one that was accepted was called “Making your contact forms land in an inbox.”

It was great to be back in any type of WordPress community. Since we had to cancel WordCamp Atlanta 2020 due to Covid, I haven’t been involved in an in-person Meetup or WordCamp in 3 years.
